For our Germinal Bio brand products, we have chosen to use recyclable packaging.

We are also committed to favouring packaging alternatives that progressively reduce the use of plastic.

New packaging made of FSC®-certified paper

Our path.

Our journey to reduce plastic in packaging began in 2019 with the updating of the outer packaging of the Snack Line, replacing plastic flowpacks with FSC®-certified paper cases.
The Gluten-Free Cereal and Biscuit Lines, which included an additional plastic inner packaging, created to guarantee the freshness and crispness of the product, saw this first time a switch to industrially compostable packaging solutions.

But we didn’t stop there…

From 2025, the Germinal Bio branded Biscuits and Cereals lines both switched to a single FSC® certified paper pack.

The paper we use
for our packaging is FSC® certified

For the paper packaging of Germinal Bio brand products, we use FSC® -certified packaging purchased from certified suppliers.

FSC® paper comes from a transparent supply chain, certified according to international standards, which guarantees that the raw materials of forest origin (i.e. wood and wood derivatives such as paper, cardboard, textile fibres, etc.) come from responsibly managed forests.

FSC® works to take care of forests and those who depend on them: protecting plant and animal species, the rights of indigenous peoples, the safety of forestry workers and much more.
