Renetta apple

Here's the true queen of apples (not for nothing is its name derived from rein, "queen" in French). Its skin is yellow with many dark streaks, it keeps for a long time and is the apple most commonly used in classic South Tyrolean desserts, such as strudel and pancakes.

Golden Delicious apple

This apple variety is popular because of its sweetness and crispness. A peculiarity of it is its reddish hues: this means that it has been well exposed to the sun. It is highly valued in the kitchen for its versatility, ideal in both sweet and savory dishes.

Stark Delicious apple

Here is the Snow White apple. Its skin is deep red while its flesh is sweet and without acidity. Its floury character makes it perfect for cooking.

An asset of this apple is its "Protected Indication of Origin" (PGI). It is cultivated in southern Italy (especially in Campania) and has a red, fragrant skin with crisp, low-sour and extremely juicy flesh.
